How to measure belt size:
Using the best fitting belt that you already own, lay it on a flat surface as straight and flat as possible and lay a tape measure (tailors tape preferred) next to it and place the first end at the buckle end of the belt, but do not include buckle, measure only from the beginning of belt strap, if belt snaps it might be easier to remove the buckle entirely, and snap it back together. Measure the length of the belt to the best fitting hole the buckle goes into; usually the largest and most worn. This is the easiest way to get the best overall fit and also works for those of you trying to get a measurement without the knowledge of the gift recipient as well.
